Former Rivers United midfielder Augustine Okejepha may be on the verge of a big career move after being spotted training with South African Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

Okejepha, who made his name in the Nigeria Professional Football League with Rivers United, joined Simba SC of Tanzania last season, where he featured in the Tanzanian Premier League and the CAF Champions League.

His energetic displays in the heart of midfield reportedly attracted interest from several clubs on the continent.

Sources close to the player revealed that the 25-year-old has been working out with the Buccaneers’ first-team squad this week as coach José Riveiro assesses his fitness and suitability for the 2025/26 campaign.
