Transfer Update: Fulham Lead Race For Chukwueze

Fulham have reignited their pursuit of AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, with Craven Cottage now emerging as the most likely destination for the Nigerian international, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 26-year-old came close to joining the London club in January after a fee was agreed with Milan, but the move collapsed on deadline day.

Chukwueze, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by coach Massimiliano Allegri, has endured a difficult spell at the San Siro, recording eight goals and six assists in 71 appearances over two seasons. 

The former Villarreal star is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Fulham now ahead of Turkish sides Besiktas and Fenerbahce in the race for his signature, according to Calciomercato.

Milan are hoping to recover much of the £17m they spent to sign him from Villarreal, while Fulham prefer a loan deal with an option to buy as Marco Silva looks to bolster his squad.
