Transfer Update: Nwabali Returns To South Africa, Set To Rejoin Chippa United

Nigeria international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has returned to South Africa and is set to rejoin Chippa United ahead of the 2026/27 season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nwabali had been linked with a move away from the club during the transfer window after attracting interest following his impressive performances for both Chippa United and the Super Eagles.

 However, the 29-year-old was unable to secure a transfer.

With no deal materialising, the former Enyimba goalkeeper has now returned to South Africa and is expected to resume training with Chippa United as preparations for the new campaign gather pace.

His return provides a major boost for the club, who will once again rely on the Nigerian shot-stopper's experience and consistency between the posts as they aim for a strong season in the South African Premiership.
