Transfer Update: Ovie Ejaria Closing In On Real Oviedo Move

Nigerian-born English midfielder Ovie Ejaria is on the verge of joining newly promoted La Liga side Real Oviedo ahead of the 2025/26 season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 27-year-old has impressed Oviedo’s coaching staff during his trial period over recent weeks, convincing them to move toward offering him a permanent deal before the season kicks off.

Ejaria previously trialed with Egyptian giants Zamalek last summer, featuring in a friendly and several training sessions, but ultimately failed to secure a contract.

The former Liverpool academy graduate, who had stints at Rangers and Reading, has been a free agent since parting ways with Reading in January 2024.
