With just a week to go before the 2025/26 English Premier League kicks off, five clubs reportedly sent scouts to watch Super Eagles star Nathan Tella in Bayer Leverkusen’s pre-season clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, Burnley, and Brentford are all said to be closely monitoring the 25-year-old winger’s situation.

Tella joined Leverkusen from Southampton two years ago in a €23.3 million deal but initially struggled to cement a starting role.

Under former boss Xabi Alonso, he was often shifted across multiple positions, disrupting his rhythm.

However, new head coach Erik ten Hag has restored him to his natural role on the wing, sparking an upturn in form.

According to TBR Football, the quintet of Premier League sides are impressed by Tella’s pace, dribbling, and sharp finishing qualities that could bolster any attack in England’s top flight.

Since arriving in Germany, Tella has tallied 10 goals and 11 assists in 79 appearances for Die Werkself.

His prior Premier League experience with Southampton could also make him an appealing option for clubs seeking proven attacking quality.

While no formal bids have been reported, Leverkusen are expected to demand more than his current €15 million valuation before entertaining any sale.

With the league season about to start, interested clubs may have to move fast to secure his signature.
