Transfer Update: Super Eagles Forward Orban Nears Hellas Verona Move

Nigerian forward Gift Orban is on the brink of completing a move to Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona, despite strong interest from French Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Toulouse had been in talks with German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim over the striker, but Veronahase has now taken the lead in the race for his signature.

Orban, who joined Hoffenheim in January from French side Olympique Lyon, has impressed with his performances in Germany, quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s standout players.

Reports from Germany confirm that Orban is set to undergo a medical with Verona in the coming days, after which the transfer will be made official.

The 21-year-old has previously received a Super Eagles call-up but is yet to make his debut, having missed out due to injury.
