Transfer Update: Valencia Seeks Loan Extension For Sadiq Umar

Spanish La Liga club Valencia CF have approached Real Sociedad to discuss the possibility of extending the loan deal of Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

Sadiq joined Valencia on loan during the second half of last season and made a notable impact, scoring five goals in 16 La Liga appearances as the club battled to avoid relegation.

Despite his impressive performances, Valencia chose not to activate the option for a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

However, according to Spanish outlet Sport, the club has now reignited interest in the 27-year-old and is keen to secure his services on a season-long loan.

Valencia are reportedly prepared to cover the full cost of Sadiq’s wages during the loan spell.

The Super Eagles forward has also attracted interest from other clubs, including Getafe, Girona, and Turkish side Samsunspor.
