U17 Women’s World Cup: France Coach Reveals How They Stopped Flamingos

France U-17 Women’s head coach, Mickael Ferreira, has shared insights on how his side overcame Nigeria’s Flamingos in their second group game at the ongoing 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Les Bluettes edged the Nigerian girls 1-0 on Wednesday night to secure a crucial win in the tournament.

Speaking after the match, Ferreira praised the Flamingos for their strong performance and fighting spirit.

 “We knew it was going to be a tough match. This Nigerian team is very committed, very united, very brave,” Ferreira said.

“We knew we had to rise to that challenge both individually and collectively. 

The girls responded really well, and I’m very happy with how they performed.”
