Benin Republic booked their place in the next round of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers after completing an emphatic 5-1 aggregate victory over Sierra Leone, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Beninoise sealed qualification on Saturday with a 2-1 away win over Sierra Leone in the second leg, having already established a commanding 3-0 advantage from the first leg.

Benin dominated the tie across both matches, showcasing their attacking quality and defensive solidity to comfortably progress to the next stage of the qualifiers.

The victory sets up a highly anticipated clash against Nigeria's Flamingos in the next round, with both West African sides set to battle for a place closer to the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Nigeria's Flamingos, one of Africa's strongest teams at youth level, will now face a confident Benin side that arrives on the back of an impressive aggregate triumph over Sierra Leone.

The dates and venues for the two-legged encounter are expected to be announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in due course.
