U18 Afrobasket: Junior D’Tigress Face Ivory Coast In Semifinal

Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress will face hosts Ivory Coast in the semifinal of the 2026 FIBA U18 Women’s Afrobasket Championship on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

The Nigerian side booked their place in the last four after an impressive campaign and will now battle the hosts for a place in the final.

Victory over Ivory Coast would see the Junior D’Tigress reach the final for a second consecutive edition.

Beyond a place in the final, the semifinal carries an additional reward, as Nigeria will secure qualification for the 2027 FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup with a victory.

The Junior D’Tigress will therefore be aiming to maintain their strong run and secure both a place in the championship final and a ticket to next year’s global age-grade competition.
