U18 Afrobasket Championship: Nigeria Drawn Against Egypt, Chad, Hosts Côte d'Ivoire In Group A

Nigeria's U18 men's basketball team has been drawn in a challenging Group A for the 2026 FIBA U18 Afrobasket Championship, where they will face Egypt, Chad and hosts Côte d'Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The group-stage draw for the continental tournament was unveiled ahead of the competition, which will take place in Côte d'Ivoire from August 5 to 16.

 The Nigerian side will begin their campaign against three formidable opponents as they seek to secure a place in the knockout stage and compete for continental glory.

Group B comprises Mali, Madagascar, Morocco and Gabon, while Group C features Cameroon, Tunisia, Rwanda and Senegal.

The 26th edition of the FIBA U18 Men's Afrobasket Championship will bring together 12 of Africa's best youth national teams, with the tournament expected to showcase some of the continent's brightest basketball talents.

Nigeria will be aiming for a strong performance as they battle for honours in the prestigious youth championship.
