Despite a late surge from Benin, Nigeria’s Super Falcons have sealed qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WÀFCON) in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the second leg encounter played at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Ashleigh Plumptre gave the Falcons an early lead in the 12th minute, before Yasiminath Djbiril restored parity for Benin in the second half.

The Nigerian side had earlier won the first leg 2-0 in Lome, Togo, giving them a 3-1 aggregate victory to book their place at the continental showpiece.

The result means the Super Falcons will return to Morocco to defend the title they won in 2024, as they continue their dominance in women’s football on the continent.
