There is reportedly growing tension in the Cameroon camp over unpaid qualification bonuses ahead of the Indomitable Lionesses’ crucial WAFCON 2026 clash with Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to Cameroonian sports media outlet Kamerfoot, players are demanding payment of bonuses owed to them for their victory over Nigeria in the tournament.
The report claims that the qualification bonuses remain unpaid despite the budget for the competition having reportedly been released as far back as February 2026.
The situation has reportedly raised concerns within the Cameroon camp, with the players seeking clarification over the outstanding payments ahead of their decisive encounter against Morocco.
The reported financial dispute comes at a critical stage of the competition, with Cameroon needing to maintain focus as they battle for progression at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The allegations have also raised questions over the management of the team’s competition finances, particularly why the players’ bonuses have allegedly not been settled despite the release of the tournament budget months ago.
