Zambia’s Shepolopolo coach, Nora Elizabeth Hauptle, has emphasized the team’s commitment to thorough preparation ahead of their 2026 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign in Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Speaking on Friday following the tournament draws, Hauptle highlighted the importance of building a solid strategy through well-planned friendlies.

“Yeah, I think we’re going to prepare properly, putting some good friendly games on the pitch to develop a strong strategy,” she said.

"Nigeria, of course, are multiple-time champions of this tournament.

"We see our position as always trying to hunt, to chase. We’re going to prepare well.”

Hauptle’s remarks underline Zambia’s intent to challenge the traditional powerhouses in African women’s football as they look forward to their clash with the Super Falcons.
