WAFCON 2026 Gets Draw Date, Venue

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the date and venue for the draw of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to a statement released from CAF headquarters in Cairo, the draw ceremony will take place on January 16, with Morocco’s capital city, Rabat, selected as the host venue.

Reigning champions Nigeria will be among the 16 qualified teams and will be aiming to successfully defend their title against the continent’s best sides.

The 2026 WAFCON tournament is scheduled to run from March 17 to April 3, 2026, marking another major milestone in the growth and competitiveness of women’s football in Africa.
