Sampson Adedeji
The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has officially unveiled its newly constituted committees, marking another step in the administrative restructuring of the regional football body, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The announcement followed the recent meetings of the Zone, during which members were selected to serve across the various committees set up to drive football development, governance, and competitions within WAFU B.
Notably, three Nigerians have been included in the new line-up. Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju, alongside Ruth David and Timothy Hymen, all made the list, underlining Nigeria’s continued influence within the football administration of the sub-region.
The inclusion of the Nigerian trio is expected to further strengthen WAFU B’s committees, given their experience and contributions to football both on and off the pitch.
WAFU B comprises Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, and the Benin Republic, and the newly constituted committees are expected to play key roles in advancing football development and cooperation among member associations.
