WAFU-B Confirms New Dates for 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers

The West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B) Zonal Executive Committee has announced revised dates for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B Zonal Qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following a comprehensive review of the competition’s operational requirements, the qualifiers will now take place from August 23 to September 4, 2025, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire. The updated schedule was officially communicated to the General Secretaries of participating member associations earlier last week.

While the host city remains unchanged, WAFU-B noted that the date adjustment was necessary to allow sufficient time for the completion of essential organizational and logistical arrangements ahead of kickoff.

Preparations are also underway for the group stage draw, which is expected to take place next week. The specific date will be confirmed and shared with stakeholders in due course.

The 2024/25 Nigeria Women's Football League winners, Bayelsa Queens will represent the country in the regional qualifiers, joining other top women’s clubs from across West Africa.

The WAFU-B Secretariat reiterated its commitment to supporting all qualified clubs and national federations, urging them to take note of the updated calendar and reach out for any further information or clarification.
