Bayelsa Queens head coach Hakeem Busari has praised his players after guiding the Nigerian champions to the final of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, while admitting the upcoming clash will be a difficult one.

The Queens booked their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over USFA in a tightly contested match.

Busari lauded his squad for sticking to the game plan, highlighting their discipline and composure against a physically demanding opponent.

“It was a very psychological game. We had studied our opponents, who play directly and with a lot of energy. The key for us was to remain focused and manage the mental side of the contest. We asked the players not to be unsettled by USFA’s intensity and physicality,” he explained.

Looking ahead, the coach acknowledged the strength of their final opponents, ASEC Mimosas, who will have home support on their side.

“The final against ASEC will be tough, especially with their home crowd behind them, but we know what to expect and will prepare thoroughly for the challenge,” Busari added.
