The Elephants of Ivory Coast national football team have received a major boost ahead of their next fixture at the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the resolution of striker Elye Wahi's visa issues, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Wahi, who had initially faced difficulties securing the necessary documentation to enter Canada, has now been granted authorization and is set to rejoin the Côte d’Ivoire delegation.
The development was confirmed by the Ivorian Football Federation, which announced that the forward is now cleared to travel and link up with his teammates at the tournament.
The news comes as a significant relief for the Elephants, who will be counting on the striker’s attacking qualities as they continue their World Cup campaign.
Wahi's availability strengthens Côte d’Ivoire’s squad depth and provides head coach and supporters with added confidence ahead of the crucial matches still to come in the competition.
