The Super Eagles have officially commenced their training camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff fixtures, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

As of Sunday afternoon, five players had reported to the team’s base at the Rive Hotel, as preparations intensify for Nigeria’s crucial qualifying campaign.

Team officials confirmed to BSN Sports that the early arrivals include Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, and Olakunle Olusegun.

More players are expected to join the camp in the coming days as the three-time African champions step up readiness for the continental playoffs.

Nigeria will face Gabon in the semifinal stage of the CAF World Cup playoffs, with the winner set to take on either Cameroon or DR Congo in the final round. The playoff matches are scheduled to hold between November 13 and 16, 2025.

The overall winner of the CAF playoffs will represent Africa at the FIFA Intercontinental Playoff in Mexico, March 2026, for a spot at the World Cup.
