World Cup Playoffs: Rohr Reveals How Nigeria Can Overcome Gabon

Cheetahs of Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, has shared insights on how the Super Eagles can overcome Gabon in the upcoming 2026 World Cup playoff, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria will battle the Panthers of Gabon in the first semifinal of the playoffs slated for November 13 in Morocco.

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash, the Franco-German tactician who once managed the Super Eagles believes teamwork and discipline will be key to Nigeria’s success.

“Aubameyang was a young player at that time (2012), and their captain, Bruno Ecuele Manga, is still there,” Rohr told Nation Sport.

“But I think Nigeria has better players. If they play collectively like they did against Benin, I think they can beat Gabon.”

Rohr, who guided Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup and third place at AFCON 2019, expressed confidence that the current squad possesses enough quality to book a spot in the final round if they maintain unity and focus throughout the encounter.
