World U20 Championships: Tejiri Godwin Bows Out In Men's 100m Semifinals

Nigeria's Tejiri Godwin saw his campaign at the 2026 World U20 Championships come to an end after competing in the men's 100m semifinals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Godwin clocked 10.34 seconds in the semifinal, improving slightly on the 10.39 seconds he recorded in the opening round earlier in the day.

Despite the improved performance, the Nigerian youngster was unable to secure a place in the final.

Although his medal hopes ended at the semifinal stage, Godwin's outing at the championships provided valuable experience as he raced against some of the world's fastest junior sprinters.

The performance is expected to serve as an important stepping stone in the development of the promising Nigerian sprinter as he continues his progression on the international stage.
