World U20 Championships: World Athletics Backs Nigeria's Ezechukwu, Oyibu For Women's 200m

World Athletics has identified Nigeria's Miracle Ezechukwu and Success Oyibu among the athletes to watch in the women's 200m event at the ongoing World U20 Championships, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The global athletics governing body highlighted the Nigerian duo as strong contenders ahead of the competition, following their impressive performances this season.

Ezechukwu heads into the championships as the reigning Nigerian women's 200m champion and boasts a personal best of 22.77 seconds, making her one of the leading African hopefuls in the event.

Oyibu has also enjoyed an outstanding campaign, clocking a personal best of 22.90 seconds while competing for Baylor University in the United States.

With both athletes in fine form, Nigeria will be aiming for a strong showing in the women's 200m as the World U20 Championships get underway this week.
