Breaking! NFF Rejects Ondo State Local Football Council Election By Niyi Busari Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has rejected the results of the election of Ondo Local Football Council organised by Dele Ajayi and Henry Faction, BSNSports.com.ng can report. Chairman of Chairmen, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusua who doubles as Chairman Election into States Football Associates Committee in a response letter to a faction of Ondo Football Association who alleged involvement of police as delegates in the election. According to the letter, marked REF.NO.NFF/GEN/385/1/38, signed by Onoja Joshua Esq. stated that the election was cancelled due to the use of police as election delegates as against FIFA, CAF and NFF statutes. NFF also ordered fresh election and directed that no police should be seen as part of the delegates in the yet to be conducted election. The letter read in part: "That there are standard of procedure of categories of persons that can form delegate in the election of States Football Association as contemplated by FIFA, CAF and NFF statutes and other guidelines for such elections. That it was agreed and communicated to Ondo State Football Association that police will not form part of the delegates for election into the local football council and the State Football Association Executive Board." "That the police was indeed made part of the election conducted into the various football local councils as evidenced in the report sent to the NFF by Ondo State Football Association. "Consequently, the results of the election conducted into the Local Football Football Council are hereby rejected by the NFF as you are directed to conduct fresh election into the local football council after removing the police from all the delegate lists into various football local council." The date for the new election has not been communicated to the public.
