NANF Calls On IGP, Commissioner of Police To Unravel, Punish Tiamiyu Kazeem Killer

......NANF Condemns Brutal Killing of Kazeem Tiamiyu By SARS, Demand Justice

National Association of Nigeria Footballers, NANF, condemned the brutal killing of Remo Stars assistant captain, Tiamiyu Kazeem by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Remo Stars defender, Kazeem Tiamiyu was reportedly killed by SARS on Saturday in Shagamu, Ogun State, the players' union has vowed to commence an investigation and follow Tiamiyu killing to a logical conclusion.

In a statement signed by the President of the Players' Union, Mr Harrison Jalla, the body claimed that SARS has series of record of killing innocent Nigerians but promised Nigerians that this would not be swept under the carpet.

Urging the Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Ogun state to order a thorough investigation to unravel the killer of Tiamiyu and also compensate the family of the deceased.

 The statement reads; "Nigerians were shocked to their marrows yesterday arising from the sad news of the brutal Killing of Tiamiyu Kazeem by Men of the Special Anti-Robbery Sqaurd (SARS) a Professional Football player with Remo stars football club Ijebu Ode Ogun State."

"The Notorious SARS has a reputation of waisting Innocent Lives at Will their stories are endless. But this Particular incident of Tiamiyu Kazeem would be different as the National Association of Nigeria footballers (NANF) will pursue it to its logical conclusion.

"The NANF is calling on the Inspector general of Police and the Commissioner of Police Ogun State to Order a thorough investigation to unravel the Immediate and remote cause of Tiamiyu Kazeem's death and adequately compensate his family and Remo Stars football club of Ijebu Ode."
